NEW DELHI: In a moment that caught fans' attention, India captain Suryakumar Yadav was seen shaking hands with Asian Cricket Council president Mohsin Naqvi, who is also the PCB chairman, during the Asia Cup trophy ceremony.

The image quickly went viral, sparking reactions across social media, as India prepare to face Pakistan amid boycott calls in the country following the Pahalgam terror attack.

Naqvi had earlier accused India of being uncomfortable with Pakistan's economic progress and using the terrorism narrative to further its own goals.

"Pakistan's economic stability is intolerable for India. The world must see how the country that claims to be the largest democracy is using terrorism to achieve its objectives," Naqvi said as per Pakistani newspaper The Express Tribune.

"Pakistan is ready to fully cooperate with any neutral party conducting a probe, as we seek to expose the real perpetrators behind the attack," Naqvi said at a press conference in Lahore on Saturday, he also told Geo News.

Suryakumar said his side will not hold back on aggression in the high-voltage Asia Cup clash against Pakistan on September 14 as it is an important aspect of playing international sport.

"Temper? Sir, aggression is always there on the field when we take the field. And without aggression, I don't think you can play this sport. And I'm sure, I'm very excited to take the field on the front foot," Suryakumar said.

Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha held a similar view on aggression but added that he wouldn't be issuing any specific instructions to his players.

"Well, you don't need to say anything to any player. Because everyone is individually very different. If someone wants to be aggressive on the field, they are more than welcome to do that.
