Indian cricket teenage sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi, once again made headlines by creating another record. This time, he scored his first Youth Test century against Under-19 Australia. Suryavanshi scored 100 off 78 balls, with his innings ending with 113 off 86. He led the innings and stitched a brilliant partnership with Vedant Trivedi, with nine boundaries and eight sixes. U-19 captain Ayush Mhatre fell off only for 21 runs, and Vihaan Malhotra made just 6 runs.

Vaibhav had to walk out when he was caught by Alex Lee Young and Hayden Schiller. While this stands as the second fastest century in Youth Test, the record is held by Ayush Mhatre, who scored 100 off 64, recently against U-19 England. One more record, for instance, is that Suryavanshi is the youngest batter to score a century in the Youth test on Australian soil, surpassing Liam Blackford who achieved this feat with 124 balls.

Earlier in July, during the England tour, he became the youngest player to score the fastest half century and claim a wicket in the same Test. He has also matched former New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum's record of two sub-100-ball centuries in U19 Tests.Vaibhav Suryavanshi had already made name during the IPL 2025 season, by scoring fastest century as an Indian and the second in the IPL history.

This is a testament to the fact that the new generational talent of Indian cricket is bright, and ready to rock the world stage.
