The Indian team saw itself playing for the third time against its archrivals, Pakistan. Pakistan had a good power play, but things went south for Pakistan when spinner Varun Chakravarthy took the important wickets of Sahibzada Farhan and Fakhar Zaman. Kuldeep Yadav, completely clean, swiped the middle order of Pakistan, as he turned out to be the leading wicket-taker of the Asia Cup tournament.
In the second innings, India did not have a good start, as they had already lost three wickets in four overs. It was Tilak Verma, who set the ground and made a partnership with Sanju Samson, and then Shivam Dube, cruising India to a victory over Pakistan with five wickets, and their ninth Asia Cup.
