NEW DELHI: The wait is almost over for cricket fans, who can get ready to mark their calendars, as the schedule for the Men's T20 World Cup 2026 will be unveiled on November 25. Defending champions India will co-host the tournament with Sri Lanka, and it is expected to begin in the first week of February.

When and where to watch the live announcement?

Cricket fans can catch the live announcement of the Men's T20 World Cup 2026 schedule on Tuesday, 25 November, starting at 6:30 PM IST.

The event will be available for streaming on JioHotstar and broadcast across India on Star Sports 1, Star Sports 2, and Star Sports 3.

Here's who's qualified for T20 World Cup 2026

A total of 20 teams will feature in the tournament. Hosts India and Sri Lanka gain automatic entry, while the remaining spots are filled by teams based on their performances in the 2024 World Cup and various regional qualifying events.

In addition to hosts India and Sri Lanka, the top seven teams from the 2024 T20 World Cup also earned automatic qualification:

Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, South Africa, United States and West Indies.

Based on T20I rankings:

New Zealand, Pakistan and Ireland secured qualification.

Through the global qualifying pathway:

Canada (Americas), Italy and Netherlands (Europe), Namibia and Zimbabwe (Africa), and Nepal, Oman and UAE (Asia/EAP).
