NEW DELHI: The coin toss continues to desert India. After losing 18 tosses in a row in ODIs, there's been no change in fortune in T20Is either, as captain Suryakumar Yadav once again lost the toss in the second T20I against Australia at the MCG on Friday.
But what stood out was Suryakumar's hilarious reaction, as he was seen jokingly performing an aarti to the gods for a change in luck, before bursting into laughter.
However, the toss result did not deter Surya one bit, as he was happy to bat first and put a good total on the board. "We are happy to bat first. That is the brand of cricket (aggressive) we want to play," he said after losing the toss.
India are playing an unchanged side while Australia have replaced Josh Philippe with Matthew Short.
The first T20I of the match-five series in Canberra was abandoned due to rain.
Teams:
India: Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav(c), Tilak Varma, Sanju Samson(w), Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, Harshit Rana, Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakaravarthy, Jasprit Bumrah
