NEW DELHI: A domestic worker has lodged a complaint accusing Sulaman Qadir, the son of late Pakistan leg-spin great Abdul Qadir, of sexual assault at his farmhouse.
Following the registration of an FIR, police have taken Sulaman into custody for questioning. According to the complaint, the woman alleged that she was employed at his residence and that he later took her to his farmhouse, where she was sexually assaulted.
A senior police official said the complainant has been sent for a medical examination, the results of which will help determine the next course of action in the investigation. The official added that the accused has been detained in accordance with legal procedure.
Sulaman Qadir, 41, featured in 26 first-class and 40 List A matches during his domestic cricket career between 2005 and 2013.
