NEW DELHI: Vikas Kohli, the brother of the star cricketer Virat Kohli, sarcastically addressed the rush of misinformation and false reports concerning his family.
His post came amid widespread speculation that Virat and his wife, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, were planning to make a permanent move to the United Kingdom.
Further fueling the speculation was the specific claim that Virat had handed over the General Power of Attorney of his substantial Rs 80 crore Gurugram property to his brother.
According to reports from News18, this legal action grants Vikas Kohli full authority to manage all property-related affairs for the house, including maintenance and any potential sales, while the cricketer is away.

Vikas Kohli, posting on his Instagram Story, took aim at those circulating the unverified claims, writing:
"I am not surprised about so much misinformation and fake news going around these days.... Some people are so free and have lots of time to do so... Good luck to you guys."

The post by Vikas—who uses the handle vk0681—was a clear attempt to curb the rampant rumors that had gripped online discussion. These reports primarily suggested that the famous couple intended to settle abroad permanently with their two children.
The cricketer himself remains detached from the social media storm, currently focused on his duties in Australia for the three-match ODI series, which is set to commence this Sunday.
