NEW DELHI: Star India batter Smriti Mandhana has etched her name into the record books, becoming just the fourth woman batter in international cricket to surpass 10,000 career runs.
The Indian star achieved the remarkable milestone during the fourth T20I against Sri Lanka in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday. The left-handed batter joined the elite company of Mithali Raj, Charlotte Edwards, and Suzie Bates.
Fastest to the landmark
Mandhana became the fastest batter to reach 10,000 international runs, achieving the milestone in just 281 innings.

She went past India great Mithali Raj, who had taken 291 innings, while England legend Charlotte Edwards reached the mark in 308 innings and New Zealand star Suzie Bates in 314, underlining Mandhana's remarkable consistency and impact across formats at the international level.
Mandhana's achievement also makes her only the second Indian woman to reach the landmark, after Mithali Raj, who leads the charts with 10,868 runs across formats.

A stylish left-handed batter known for her elegant strokeplay and fearless approach, Mandhana has been a mainstay of India's batting line-up for nearly a decade. Her consistency across Tests, ODIs, and T20Is has not only earned her accolades but also helped India compete fiercely on the global stage.
Most 50-plus scores
Mandhana also holds the record for the most 50-plus scores in Women's T20 Internationals, registering 32 such knocks - more than any other batter in the format. She is followed by Suzie Bates and Beth Mooney, who are tied in second place with 29 50-plus scores each.
