Shubman Gill, India Test and ODI captain, is presently in Adelaide, getting ready to lead the side in the 2nd match of the three-match ODI series against Australia on Thursday (October 23). Before the important match, Gill was randomly walking down the streets of Adelaide when he found himself in an unexpected situation.

One fan came up to the 26-year-old for a handshake, and immediately after the fan greeted him, he shouted "Pakistan Zindabad!" The situation seemed to shock Gill, and a clip of the moment has now been widely circulated on social media, getting a lot of comments from fans online.
On October 4, Gill, who succeeded Rohit Sharma as the captain of the ODI team, had recently led India against Pakistan during the Asia Cup last month. In the three matches against the Salman Ali Agha-led side in Dubai on September 14, 21, and 28, Gill made 10, 47, and 12 runs. Even though his contributions were limited, India won all three matches.
India eye comeback in second ODI at Adelaide Oval
The next second ODI between India and Australia at the Adelaide Oval is a must-win for the visitors after their seven-wicket defeat in Perth on October 19. Gill only scored 10 runs off 18 balls during that match, so he was not able to give India the strong start they were looking for.
Now that the series is at stake, the Indian captain will be very keen to get it right and to come up with a match-winning innings. Supporters will also be looking at the Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma performances. Both experienced batsmen had a tough comeback to international cricket — Kohli got out for a duck after 8 balls, while Rohit scored 8 runs from 14 balls.
If India are to win the match, thus keeping the series alive, then the form of the three players could be the deciding factor of the team’s fate in Adelaide.
