NEW DELHI: Whenever India and Pakistan clash on the cricket field, it's never just about the game. On-field confrontations, crowd boos, and now the no-handshake row keep the fire burning. Not just Pakistani players, whose conduct on the field remains questionable, but their TV panelists are also not far behind.

India added to Pakistan's misery with a comfortable six-wicket victory in the Asia Cup Super 4 match in Dubai on Sunday. With this win, India extended their dominance over their arch-rivals in T20Is, claiming 12 victories out of 15 encounters.

The dominance is so overwhelming that even Pakistani presenters and experts have stopped believing their team can beat India. A clip from a talk show has gone viral, showing a presenter openly asking a shocking question.

"Sir agar ladke yaha se jaan maare to kya hum jeet sakte hain?" To this, a panelist replied with a laugh, "Mere khayal mein ya to ye karde ya kuch ladke firing hi kar dena idhar match he khatam karo kyuki confirm hai hum harenge." The banter on television reflected the mindset of Pakistanis, who never shy away from discussing violence.

The show also featured former Pakistan cricketers Basit Ali and Kamran Akmal as experts, and the clip has added to Pakistan cricket’s embarrassment at a time when the team is already struggling on the field.

Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav has urged everyone to stop calling the contests against Pakistan a meaningful "rivalry" given how his team has dominated the arch-foes, the most recent demolition act being the six-wicket triumph in a Super 4 match of the Asia Cup in Dubai.

After the comprehensive win on Sunday night here, the proverbial question on the gulf between the two teams was thrown at Suryakumar by a senior Pakistani journalist.

"Sir, my request is that we should now stop calling India vs Pakistan matches a rivalry," Suryakumar responded with a smile.
