NEW DELHI: Rohit Sharma's love affair with the Sydney Cricket Ground continued as the star batter produced a memorable hundred, likely in his last outing on Australian soil. Rohit drove the ball to long off to reach his 33rd ODI century off just 105 balls.

He kept his emotions in check, with a subdued celebration following the vintage knock. Virat Kohli put his arm around his long-time teammate, and the two shared a smile.

Rohit reached a remarkable milestone, scoring his 50th century across all formats of international cricket. This tally includes 12 centuries in Tests, 33 in ODIs, and five in T20Is, making him the only batter to have five or more hundreds in each of the three formats.

In terms of ODI centuries by a visiting batter in Australia, Rohit leads the chart with six centuries in 33 innings, ahead of Virat Kohli, who has five in 32 innings, and Kumar Sangakkara, who also has five but in 49 innings.

Rohit also ranks among the top for most ODI hundreds against a single opposition, with nine centuries against Australia. He sits just behind Virat Kohli, who has ten against Sri Lanka and nine against the West Indies, and alongside Sachin Tendulkar, who also has nine against Australia.

The 'Hitman' also etched his name in the record books by becoming only the second Indian batter to score 2,500 ODI runs against Australia.

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar sits atop the list with 3,077 runs in 71 matches, including nine hundreds and 15 fifties. Rohit reached the milestone in just his 49th match against Australia.

Before coming to this match, Rohit has enjoyed impressive success in ODIs, scoring 333 runs in five innings at an average of 66.60 and a strike rate of 88.80.
