NEW DELHI: India veteran Rohit Sharma has returned to the top of the ICC Men’s ODI batting rankings, reclaiming the No.1 spot from New Zealander Daryl Mitchell.

Mitchell missed the final two matches of New Zealand’s series sweep over the West Indies, losing points and allowing Rohit to regain the top position.

Rohit is expected to be in action on 30th November, leading India in the first ODI against South Africa at Rachi, where he will aim to continue his dominant run in white-ball cricket.

Other changes in ODI rankings

Apart from Rohit’s rise, New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra moved up to 12th while Devon Conway climbed 11 spots to 31st in the ODI batter rankings. West Indies skipper Shai Hope improved two places to eighth following an unbeaten century.

On the bowling side, New Zealand’s Mitchell Santner moved up to sixth, and Matt Henry climbed to equal 10th following their 3-0 series sweep over the West Indies.

Sikandar Raza claims top T20I all-rounder spot

Zimbabwe star Sikandar Raza has reached No.1 in the T20I all-rounder rankings for the first time in his 13-year international career. Raza’s excellent recent form in the ongoing tri-series against Sri Lanka and Pakistan, including a quickfire 37 and four economical overs against Sri Lanka, helped him overtake Pakistan’s Saim Ayub.

His joint second-fastest T20I century off 33 balls highlights his lethal form in the shortest format.

Raza’s rise also coincided with improvements for Pakistan players. Mohammad Nawaz climbed to seventh among T20I all-rounders, while Sahibzada Farhan moved up eight places to fourth in batting rankings.

Former captain Babar Azam improved five spots to 29th after a recent half-century, including a trademark cover drive against India at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

Test rankings reshuffle

The latest Test rankings saw multiple changes following Australia’s win over England in Perth and Bangladesh’s victory over Ireland in Mirpur. Australia’s Travis Head jumped four spots to sixth among batters after his match-winning 163, while England’s Ollie Pope rose to 24th. Bangladesh’s Mushfiqur Rahim (30th), Litton Das (37th), and Mominul Haque (46th) also moved up significantly.

Australia’s Mitchell Starc climbed four spots to fifth overall in the Test bowling rankings, achieving a new career-high rating. Bangladesh’s Taijul Islam moved up to 15th. In Test all-rounders, Ben Stokes rose to second behind India’s Ravindra Jadeja, while Starc also jumped to fifth.
