NEW DELHI: When it comes to power-hitters in world cricket, Rohit Sharma's name inevitably comes to mind - and for good reason, as the India ODI captain holds the record for the most sixes in international cricket, with 637 maximums.

With his brute power and impeccable timing, Rohit has sent almost every top bowler's deliveries flying across the park. When asked which bowler he loves to hit the most, his answer had the crowd bursting into laughter.

"Sabhi log hain yaar (I like hitting sixes against every bowler)," Rohit said as the crowd erupted into loud cheers.

"Kisi bhi bowler ke saamne jab batting karta hoon yehi sochta hoon ki usko maarna hai mujhe. Aisa koi nahin hai, ek hee banda hai, usko hee maarna hai mujhe (Whichever bowler I bat against, I go with the mindset of how I can hit them. There isn't any specific bowler I target)," he said in an event organised by oral hygiene brand Oral-B.

"Mera toh aisa hee hai, kisi ke baare mein toh bol nahin sakta. Par mera aisa thinking hota hai ki, jo mere saamne aayega, mujhe accha karna hai aur usko pressure mein daalna hai. Mere apne tareeke hain pressure mein daalne ke, toh main koshish karta hoon (I cannot single out any bowler. My thought process is, whoever is in front of me, I have to perform against them and put them under pressure. I have my own tactics to put them under pressure, that's what I try)," Rohit further said.

After being retired from Test cricket earlier this year, Rohit spoke about the challenges of the format but stressed that he learned to handle them through rigorous preparation.

Rohit, who also retired from T20Is following the team's victorious World Cup campaign last year, did not enjoy as much success as in limited-overs cricket, finishing with 4,301 runs at an average of 40.58 in 67 Tests.

"It is something that you prepare for, because the game demands longevity. Especially in the Test format, you have to last for five days. Mentally, it is very challenging and it is draining as well. But all cricketers have been brought up playing First-Class cricket," he said.

Rohit Sharma's next international appearance is expected against Australia, as India tour Down Under for a three-match ODI series in October, with the first game scheduled for October 19.
