Rohit has retired from Tests and T20 Internationals but continues to feature in ODIs, where he remains a key run-scorer for the team while targeting a place in the 2027 World Cup.
Rohit's journey with Indian cricket, which began in 2007, has been nothing short of special. Over the years, he has grown into one of the team's most dependable players, making an impact both with the bat and as a leader.
As captain, Rohit guided India through some of its most memorable moments in recent times. The highlight came in 2024, when India lifted the T20 World Cup after beating South Africa in the final, finally ending the long wait for an ICC title in the shortest format. He followed that up with another major achievement in 2025, leading India to the Champions Trophy and further underlining his calm, assured leadership.
Beyond captaincy, Rohit's numbers speak for themselves. In Test cricket, he scored over 4,300 runs in 67 matches, including 12 centuries, proving his value in the longest format. In ODIs, he has been a run machine, piling up more than 11,500 runs in 282 matches with 33 hundreds to his name.
His T20I record is equally impressive, with over 4,200 runs and five centuries, placing him among the most successful batters the format has seen.
