NEW DELHI: Rinku Singh produced a breathtaking display of power hitting as Uttar Pradesh demolished Chandigarh in their Vijay Hazare Trophy clash in Rajkot, sealing a massive win in emphatic fashion.

India’s stylish left hand batter, who recently returned to the T20 World Cup squad, looked in complete control as he delivered a blistering knock that underlined his growing stature in white ball cricket.

Rinku walked in at number five and completely changed the tempo. The left hander smashed 106 runs off just 60 deliveries at a strike rate of 176.67, peppering the boundary with 11 fours and four sixes.

His sensational assault powered Uttar Pradesh to a daunting total of 367 for four in their 50 overs.

Batting first, Uttar Pradesh went all guns blazing after an early loss. Aryan Juyal laid the foundation with a commanding 134 off 118 deliveries, striking seven fours and eight sixes to anchor the innings.

Dhruv Jurel complemented him perfectly with a fluent 67 off 57 balls, ensuring the momentum never dipped through the middle overs.

In reply, Chandigarh were bundled out for 140 in just 29.3 overs, unable to mount any resistance. Zeeshan Ansari led the bowling with four wickets for 29, while Vipraj Nigam picked up two. The result underlined Uttar Pradesh’s dominance, with Rinku Singh’s stunning hundred defining the contest.
