NEW DELHI: Former Pakistan players have made several anti-India remarks recently, and in the latest video circulating on social media, Mohammad Yousuf and Shahid Afridi were seen discussing their plans if Pakistan win the Asia Cup.
Once again, their conversation referenced Pakistan's false claim of downing six Indian jets during Operation Sindoor - a narrative the country has been propagating ever since the military conflict with India in May this year.
Yousuf stated that Pakistan would dedicate their Asia Cup victory to the Pakistan Air Force if they triumphed. Afridi further revealed that he had personally urged the players to do so, hoping it would inspire them ahead of the big clash.

However, India spoiled their plans in the final, clinching a five-wicket win while chasing 147. Tilak Varma anchored the innings with a calm, unbeaten 69, while Shivam Dube's crucial 33 provided solid support, sealing India's third straight victory of the tournament.
At the post-match press conference, India captain Suryakumar Yadav announced that he would be donating his match fees to the Indian armed forces and victims of Pahalgam.
"As a gesture, I want to donate my match fees from all the games in this tournament to the Indian Army. I don't know if people will call it controversial, but for me, it's the right thing to do," he said.
Pakistan skipper Salman Ali Agha also decided to do the same. "We as a team, are donating our match fees to all the civilians who lost their lives during the Indian attack and to our kids who were affected by it. We are donating it to them," he remarked.
