NEW DELHI: When Rishabh Pant bats, records are meant to be broken. The India wicketkeeper has once again etched his name in the record books, returning to the national team after a four-month hiatus.

The left-handed wicketkeeper-batter created history by becoming the Indian with the most sixes in Test cricket, achieving the milestone on Day 2 of the first Test against South Africa at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday.

Pant reached the landmark when he stepped down the track and lofted Keshav Maharaj over mid-off for a six.

He has hit 92 sixes, the most by any Indian in Tests. Pant is known for playing bold shots and changing the game quickly, even in tough situations.

Right behind him is Virender Sehwag, one of India's most fearless openers. He hit 91 sixes in Tests and was famous for attacking bowlers from the very first ball. Rohit Sharma, who retired from Test cricket earlier this year, is third with 88 sixes.

All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is next with 80 sixes. He often lifts the team's score with quick runs in the lower order and plays important attacking knocks.

In fifth place is former India captain MS Dhoni, who hit 78 sixes in his Test career. Dhoni was calm but powerful and always found a way to help India with his aggressive batting.
