Ravichandran Ashwin shared a cryptic message on Twitter following India’s defeat to Australia in the second ODI at Adelaide Oval on Thursday, October 23. With the win, Mitchell Marsh and his side secured an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series, leaving the final game on Saturday as a dead rubber.
The former India off-spinner, who retired from international cricket in August 2025, posted an image of Nike’s iconic “Swoosh” logo with a twist, featuring the Indian tricolour instead of black and altering the slogan from “Just Do It” to “Just Leave It.”

On the field, Shubman Gill lost the toss once again, and Mitchell Marsh opted to field first for the second consecutive match. India struggled early as Gill and Virat Kohli fell cheaply, but half-centuries from Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer steadied the innings. Axar Patel contributed a quickfire 44 off 41 balls. However, KL Rahul, Washington Sundar, and Nitish Kumar Reddy were dismissed cheaply, leaving India at 226/8. Lower-order contributions from Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh pushed the total to a defendable 265.
Chasing the target, Matthew Short provided a solid start with a brilliant half-century. Despite India’s frequent breakthroughs, Cooper Connolly held the innings together with an unbeaten fifty, guiding Australia to a 2-wicket win in 46.2 overs.
