According‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ to the most recent news, Rajasthan Royals (RR) are considering moving their home ground out of the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur due to conflicts that continue with the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA). The trouble between these two parts has, as per the reports, get worse lately, and it has become so severe that the franchise is now searching for a clubhouse in which to wait for the IPL 2026 ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌season.

Growing rift pushes Rajasthan Royals toward Guwahati move

Relations‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ between the Royals and the RCA have been difficult for a long time, but they almost came to a head last year when the RCA reportedly accused the Royals of match-fixing during the last IPL season. In the IPL 2025 edition, RR were already compelled to play some of their home games in Guwahati, where Riyan Parag led the team in the absence of Sanju Samson.

Due to limited hosting rights at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium and the negative relationship with the state cricket body, RR have decided to change their venue for the upcoming seasons.

The current scenario is comparable to Punjab Kings' (PBKS) previous disagreement with the Punjab Cricket Association, which resulted in their decision to move matches to Mullanpur and Dharamsala because of low attendance and logistical issues at ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌Mohali.

Dispute over tickets reportedly sparked the fallout

It‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ is said that the fight between the franchise and the RCA, which is a body that has been dissolved, was mainly about how many free tickets would be given for the matches. The argument escalated, making it almost impossible for the two parties to work together anymore.

According to a report in The Times of India, Rajasthan Royals are planning a move of their home ground to Guwahati from the IPL 2026 season onwards, which means a big change in the franchise's home ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌identity.
