NEW DELHI: There should be no iota of doubt that Virat Kohli is the biggest modern-day cricketer, and his fan following remains unmatched despite his retirement from T20Is and Test cricket.

Getting autographs and clicking selfies with their favourite stars is every fan's dream, and one such heartwarming moment was witnessed in Perth when a young Kohli fan went ecstatic after receiving his autograph.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, the boy's joy is unmissable as he runs around and dances in sheer excitement.

Fans are eagerly awaiting Kohli's international comeback after a seven-month hiatus, in the three-match series against Australia starting on October 19. He last played for India in the Champions Trophy final in March earlier this year.

On Thursday, Virat and Rohit Sharma hit the ground running soon after their arrival and spent a considerable time in the nets during the Indian team's first training session ahead of the first ODI.

Both the former India captains batted for close to 30 minutes in the nets. The Indian team arrived in two batches over Wednesday and Thursday for the white-ball tour comprising three ODIs and five T20s, starting October 29.

Rohit was also seen having a long chat with head coach Gautam Gambhir after his time in the nets.

Both Kohli and Rohit retired from Tests earlier this year and had called time on their India T20 career after winning the World Cup in Barbados last year.
