NEW DELHI: Travis Head has so far scored 12 Test centuries, but the explosive Australian batter is yet to breach the double-century mark in the longest format of the game, having been dismissed between 150 and 175 on seven occasions.
The left-handed batter notched up his third century of the Ashes series but once again missed out on an elusive double hundred, as his whirlwind knock ended at 163 when he was trapped plumb in front by Jacob Bethell.

Head also became the first Australian opener since Matthew Hayden in 2002-03 to post three centuries in an Ashes series.
When asked about his repeated dismissals between 150 and 175 and whether missing out on a double century frustrates him, Head brushed aside the milestone talk with his trademark wit.
"Beggars can't be choosers, pretty s*** stat, isn't it?" came the reply from Head, leaving everyone in the newsroom in splits.

He admitted it might look like an odd statistic but insisted it doesn't bother him. Head said he would take scores in the 160–170 range any day over getting out cheaply, adding that he had no complaints despite having a couple of chances to push on this year.
Yeah, I'd much rather 160 to 170 than 0 to 10, so I ain't going to complain about that. Yeah, I've probably had a couple of chances this year, but, yeah, pegs up and watch the boys go about it. Take that as a no, then. Yeah, I'm not too worried," Head said.
Head's two previous centuries contributed heavily to Australia retaining the Ashes in 11 days of action. He blasted a 69-ball century in Perth in the first Test - when he was promoted up the order from No. 5 in the second innings because Usman Khawaja was injured - and scored 170 in Adelaide in the third Test.
