NEW DELHI: The world was taken by storm on Sunday after a barbaric act of terrorism at Bondi Beach, Sydney, in which at least 15 people were killed and more than 40 injured. Two gunmen, a father-and-son duo, opened fire, targeting Jewish people attending a Hanukkah event.
The youngest victim was just 10 years old, while one of the casualties, a Holocaust survivor, lost his life protecting his wife from gunfire.
In the aftermath of the attack, the Australian and English cricket teams, who are currently facing off in the Ashes in Australia, came together to pay their respects to the victims.
In a joint statement, the two cricket boards extended their condolences to the victims and their families and friends.

"Absolutely devastated by the horror last night in Bondi. My heart goes out to the victims, their families, the people of Bondi and our Jewish community during this time. If you can, please book an appointment to donate blood," Cummins said.
