Pakistan Women Under-19 overpowered hosts Bangladesh to seal the five-match youth T20 series 3-2 in a dominant decider at the Sheikh Kamal Stadium in Cox’s Bazar on Friday, December 12. The visitors delivered a complete performance, with teenage spinner Rozina Akram and pacer Barira Saif dismantling Bangladesh’s batting lineup with three wickets each.
Bangladesh, batting first, were bowled out for just 84 in 19.1 overs. Sadia Akter was the lone fighter, scoring a run-a-ball 27, nearly one-third of the team’s total. No other batter reached double digits, with 13 extras becoming the second-highest contributor.
Pakistan’s bowlers kept the pressure on throughout, with Rozina Akram and Barira Saif returning impressive figures of 3 for 16 each. Memoona Khalid and Shahar Bano added one wicket apiece to ensure Bangladesh never settled.
In the chase, Pakistan completed the job comfortably, with Fizza Fiaz finishing the match alongside Areesha Ansari to secure the series win.
