Arshdeep Singh teased Kohli after the chase saying, "Paji run kam reh gye vrna century pakki thi vaise" (Few runs short, otherwise another century was confirmed for you).
Kohli replied with a smile, ”toss jeet gye varna teri bhi pakki thi dew vich” (It was good we won the toss, otherwise you would have also completed your century due to dew)
Kohli misses out on another hundred
Kohli finished unbeaten on 65 from 45 deliveries as India wrapped up the chase in 39.5 overs. He missed a third straight hundred by 35 runs, but the innings still carried his trademark flow and control. The early finish simply did not allow enough time for another landmark score.
The star batter was in sublime touch throughout the three matches. He smashed two centuries and capped the series with an unbeaten half-century, amassing 302 runs at an extraordinary average of 151. His consistency, strike rotation and pressure-handling defined India’s batting rhythm.
