NEW DELHI: India all-rounder Axar Patel made an interesting revelation about an unheard-of side of Jasprit Bumrah, highlighting that the pace spearhead not only masters the art of bowling but also possesses an impressive knowledge of perfumes.
"Jassi bhai ke pass hi collection... abhi woh itna deep chalagaya kitna per cent oil atha kitna per cent perfume atha hein... hum tho udhar tak pahuche nehi hein…hum tho (smells hand and laughs) hum kadak hein karke nikhal jathe hein (Jassi has collection... he is now so deep into them he sees the percentage of oil and percentage of perfume we just see if it is strong or not and use it)," Axar said on 2 sloggers' YouTube channel.
When a YouTuber on the show jokingly asked whether it could be a post-retirement plan, Axar burst into laughter before replying, "Jassi Bhai dekhlena, partnership kardena (Jassi involve us also in partnership)," drawing chuckles from those present.
The channel also shared a meme in which Axar recounts a bet he won against Jasprit Bumrah. As part of the wager, the fast bowler gifted Axar a perfume, with the all-rounder explaining the story behind the bet to Arshdeep Singh, the YouTubers and the viewers.
"Jassi bhai ne Siraj ko vadha kiya tha ki mein tumko perfume lake dunga jab West Indies ke sath Test match tha Delhi mein unke vice captain Jomel Warrican karke nehi hein usne shayad pucha hoga chalte chalte acha konsa perfume hein smell arahi hein usne jabardasthi usko dedo na usko pasand aya karke usko dilwa diya. (Jassi promised Siraj that he would give him a perfume, and then, after the Delhi Test against the West Indies, their Vice Captain Jomel Warrican might have asked him what perfume it was, and then Siraj said to give him, he liked it and made sure he got it.)"
