NEW DELHI: Not only did the defeat sting, but India's refusal to shake hands with Pakistan also hit the Pakistani fraternity hard, prompting them to stoop to a new low by using foul language against Indian players.

While former pacer Shoaib Akhtar claimed that they always speak positively about India, ex-Pakistan batter Mohammad Yousuf crossed all limits by making fun of Suryakumar Yadav's name during a panel discussion.

Yousuf accused the BCCI of misusing its power and dictating terms to officials, citing the recent Asia Cup handshake row as an example.

"India are unable to get out of their filmy world. India should be ashamed of the way they are trying to win - using umpires, torturing (Pakistan) by way of match referee, it is a high note," said Yousuf on Samaa TV.

The Pakistan batter, who scored 17,300 runs in his international career, jokingly referred to Suryakumar as 'pig' during the discussion.

After the Asia Cup Group A match that India won by seven wickets, Suryakumar and his men did not exchange handshakes with their cross-border rivals as a mark of respect for the Pahalgam terror attack victims and their families.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had filed a complaint with the ICC alleging that match referee Andy Pycroft asked its captain Salman Ali Agha not to shake hands with Suryakumar at the time of toss in their Asia Cup match on Sunday.

They also demanded the removal of Pycroft from the panel of officials for the ongoing Asia Cup which was later turned down by ICC.

"Late last night, ICC had sent a reply to PCB stating that Pycroft won't be removed and their plea has been rejected," an ICC source told PTI.
