“I’m really excited to be joining HBL PSL in its New Era. The league has earned a reputation for top level T20 cricket with high quality competition and world class talent across every team.”
This part of his message explained why the league appeals to him and why he feels it is the right challenge at this point.
Playing in Pakistan
He also reflected on his past experiences in Pakistan and how the energy around cricket in the country motivates him to perform.
“Playing in Pakistan is always incredible. The quality of cricket is outstanding and the passion and intensity from the crowd push you to bring your best. I’m looking forward to being part of it all and creating some great memories along the way. Ready for another special experience Insha’Allah.”
The quote highlighted the emotional pull and the sense of connection he feels with cricket in Pakistan.
Moeen’s impact in the IPL
Moeen’s exit is significant for the IPL, especially for CSK. His calm batting in the middle order, combined with his ability to bowl important overs, gave his teams strong balance. He played a key part in CSK’s 2021 and 2023 title wins and consistently delivered in pressure moments.
