NEW DELHI: Michael Vaughan and Wasim Jaffer never miss a chance to mock each other on social media when their teams struggle on the field, providing fans with a dose of humour.
India's first-innings batting collapse in the second Test against South Africa in Guwahati gave Vaughan an opportunity to take a dig at Jaffer. "Hi @WasimJaffer14 .. Hows today going .. ? Left arm seamers are not easy to face ..," Vaughan wrote on X.

The former England captain's post hinted at India's struggle against South Africa's left-arm pacer Marco Jansen, who tore through the batting line-up with a six-wicket haul as the hosts were bundled out for 201, giving South Africa a massive 288-run lead.
Vaughan's jab didn't come out of nowhere. Just days earlier, Jaffer had taken a swipe at him when England were thrashed by Australia in the Ashes opener in Perth.
England crumbled in just two days, falling to an eight-wicket defeat after Travis Head's brilliant century and Mitchell Starc's 10-wicket match haul ran riot. In response, Jaffer shared a pointed message: "Hope you're okay @MichaelVaughan #Ashes2025."

With Vaughan having his moment, Jaffer fired back - this time with a Hera Pheri meme captioned "tereko bhi dukh hai, mere ko bhi dukh hai," meaning "you're hurting, and I'm hurting too" - playfully acknowledging that both teams had endured their own painful collapses.
