Former Australian cricketer Mark Waugh has openly questioned the Decision Review System (DRS) after a third-umpire call went in favour of Rohit Sharma during the first innings of the ongoing second ODI between Australia and India. Rohit top-scored for India with 73 off 97 balls in Adelaide, helping the tourists reach 264/9 in their 50 overs.

Waugh highlighted how frustrated Josh Hazlewood appeared after the LBW decision against Rohit was overturned. While the Snickometer suggested there was an inside edge before the ball hit the pads, Waugh noted that front-on replays clearly indicated the ball had missed the bat entirely.

"You can see Hazlewood there going, 'I didn't hear anything.' I can't see how he's hit that. I reckon he was late on it. I can't see an inside edge on that, to be honest with you," Waugh remarked while speaking to Fox Cricket.

Following that over, India were 17/0 in six overs. However, Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli fell in the next over to Xavier Bartlett, who claimed both wickets in his second over in what was his debut match of the series. Despite Rohit’s fighting knock, India ultimately lost the match by two wickets.
