Former Indian cricketer Kris Srikkanth was not at all pleased with the exclusion of Sanju Samson from the upcoming squad of the ODI series against Australia. The selectors chose KL Rahul as the wicketkeeper, even though Dhruv Jurel has also made it into the squad. Srikkanth expressed his disappointment and called his exclusion ‘unfair’ as Samson scored a century in his last ODI and pointed out that the management has always messed up with Samson’s batting position over the years.

"Once again, it’s very unfair. Sanju should have been included, especially after scoring a century in his last ODI. It seems the reasons for changes keep shifting for each player—one day he’s made to bat at number 5, the next day he opens, and sometimes he’s sent in at 7 or 8. How did Dhruv Jurel suddenly make it into the XI? Whether or not Sanju plays, he should at least be given the first right of refusal," Srikkanth said on his YouTube channel.
He also criticised the selectors for constantly tinkering with the team, saying such ‘chopping and changing’ can confuse players.

"Constant changes like this only end up confusing the players. One moment, Yashasvi Jaiswal is in the squad, the next he’s out. This continuous reshuffling can really dent a player’s confidence," he added.
