The Legends Pro T20 League has announced yet another star-studded lineup for its debut season, confirming the participation of Chris Gayle, Jacques Kallis, Robin Uthappa, Ambati Rayudu, and Stuart Binny. With each new addition, the tournament is shaping up to be a nostalgic reunion of cricketing icons who once shared dressing rooms, rivalries, and unforgettable moments on the field.

Chris Gayle expressed excitement about reuniting with old teammates and competitors. "Some of my best cricket memories involve the guys who will be playing in this league," Gayle said. "I’ve played against Kallis when getting past him felt impossible, talked batting rhythm with Uthappa, and taken more Rayudu banter than I can count. Seeing names like Dhawan or Watson again brings back the jokes, the competitiveness, the respect. The Legends Pro T20 League gives us a chance to relive that."

Jacques Kallis echoed the sentiment, reflecting on what it means to reconnect with the game after stepping away from it. "When you’ve been away for a while, you realise how much you miss the feel of the bat in your hands," he said. "I’m excited to find that rhythm again. And with Michael Clarke taking over as league commissioner, there’s fresh energy and real professionalism in the setup. It makes the return even more exciting."

Robin Uthappa shared his thoughts on rekindling bonds built over decades. "I’ve faced Rayudu as an opponent and shared a dressing room with him; his intensity always stood out," Uthappa said. "With Dinesh Karthik, I’ve had countless chats about finishing games. Shaun Marsh made batting look effortless. Experiencing this again, without franchise pressure, feels special."

Ambati Rayudu highlighted the camaraderie that transcends formats and eras.
"Seeing players you’ve battled against or won titles with reminds you why you love the game," Rayudu said. "I’ve had tight games with Binny, long nets with Uthappa, and incredible duels with Gayle. And when someone like Amit Mishra or Vinay Kumar walks in, it instantly feels like old times."

Stuart Binny summed up the shared emotions of the group. "What excites me isn’t just the cricket, it’s the people," Binny said. "We’ve played across the world and shared moments beyond scorecards. Kallis giving tips, Gayle’s stories, Monty Panesar sparking debates, that’s our world. Getting to be in that environment again feels truly special."
