NEW DELHI: India wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan delivered a timely reminder of his T20 credentials with a blistering 50-ball 113 that guided Jharkhand to an eight-wicket victory over Tripura in their Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Group D clash here on Sunday.
During his unbeaten innings, Kishan struck 10 fours and eight sixes as Jharkhand chased down Tripura’s 182 for seven, finishing at 185 for two with 15 balls to spare.
The innings will boost Kishan’s case ahead of the national selectors’ meeting for India’s upcoming T20I series against South Africa.

Rajasthan win thriller
Rajasthan held their nerve against Karnataka to register a thrilling one-run victory.
Posting 201 for five in their 20 overs, Rajasthan looked well set, but Karnataka came agonisingly close, finishing at 200 for eight.
The chase began shakily for Karnataka as skipper Mayank Agarwal and KL Shrijith fell early, reducing them to 19 for two. Devdutt Padikkal’s 32 off 23 balls ended with the team at 51 for three.
A promising 82-run stand between Karun Nair (51 off 32) and R Smaran (48 not out off 31) steadied the innings, taking Karnataka to 133 for three in 14.5 overs. But the middle and lower order collapsed, losing Karun, Abhinav Manohar, Shreyas Gopal, and Praveen Dubey cheaply to slip to 155 for seven in 17.3 overs.
Smaran struggled to regain momentum while Vidyadhar Patil (27 off 8 balls, 3 sixes, 2 fours) powered the chase to 184 in 18.5 overs before falling to Kamlesh Nagarkoti (3/52).
With 15 needed off the final over, a six by Vysakh Vijayakumar and a four by Smaran brought Karnataka to within three runs off the last ball, but they could only manage one, handing Rajasthan a narrow win.
Earlier, quick contributions of 40-plus from Deepak Hooda, Kartik Sharma, and Mahipal Lomror helped Rajasthan post a defendable total. Vidyadhar and Vysakh picked up two wickets apiece for Karnataka.
Rajasthan now sit second in Group D with 12 points from three matches, level with Jharkhand, who lead on net run rate (1.4 against 0.82). Karnataka have slipped to fifth with just 4 points from three games.
