The India vs Pakistan game isn't just a battle amongst the two teams on the pitch, but also a war on Social Media. And it wasn't long before it spilt over the internet tonight. During the India vs Pakistan Asia Cup Super 4 match, a controversial dismissal occurred involving Fakhar Zaman. In the third over, Zaman faintly edged a delivery from Hardik Pandya, which was claimed by wicketkeeper Sanju Samson as a low catch.

The on-field umpires referred the decision to the third umpire due to the proximity of the ball to the ground to check whether it was a fair catch. In the end, it was judged as a wicket to India, and the big screen flashed the decision, "OUT". The replays weren't that conclusive at first, and hence, Fakhar Zaman wasn't ready to walk off just yet. But in the end, with a wry smile on his face, he walked back to the pavilion. However, social media wasn't convinced yet, and this sparked a debate.

One user claimed, "CRYSTAL-CLEAR! Fakhar Zaman OUT! Sanju Samson takes the catch — no doubts. Pakistanis crying, we’re enjoying #INDvPAK Even Mike Hesson can’t believe it."

A Pakistani fan shared an inconclusive image of the incident and tweeted. "It was crystal clear that ball hit ground first but how they given Fakhar Zaman out??? #PakVsInd"

Another user shared the clearer version of the footage, putting rest to the controversy. The footage clearly showed that the ball was caught fairly. He added, "It was a CLEAR catch and Fakhar Zaman was OUT! When the camera zoomed in, it was absolutely clear that the ball landed safely in Sanju Samson’s gloves. Pakistanis have an old habit of crying and now we are enjoying it #INDvPAK"

While controversy will continue to rage on over the internet, the decision given by the Umpires is final and even right. Fakhar Zaman, who was looking dangerous on the night, might still feel wronged.
