NEW DELHI: There was a sense of uncertainty at the Ekana Stadium on Wednesday as the fourth T20I between India and South Africa was delayed due to heavy fog in Lucknow.

While the match has not been called off, the thick layer of smog over the ground raised visibility concerns, particularly for fielders tracking the ball in the air.

India leading the 5-match series

India lead the five match T20I series 2-1 after a comfortable win in Dharamshala in the third game. With the series still in the balance, this match remains crucial for both sides.

India will, however, be without vice-captain Shubman Gill, who has been ruled out of the game due to a toe injury, adding another layer of intrigue as teams wait for play to begin.
