As India geared up for their 3rd and final group stage match in the ongoing Asia Cup against Oman, a lighthearted moment of humour unfolded as both captains walked in for the Toss. Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and, much to the joy of the Indian fans, announced their decision to bat first. He explained the reasoning behind it, saying the Indian contingent hasn't set a target yet in the tournament and they would like to do so before heading into the latter part of the tournament.

This was followed by a very unexpected moment that has already gone viral on Social media. While announcing the changes to the Indian playing XI, Suryakumar Yadav kept stuttering and forgetting what he was about to say. As if he could not remember the changes that his team were going to make!

He laughed at himself and, in a feel-good moment, said, "I have become like Rohit", referring to the widely known forgetful nature of India's former T20I skipper, Rohit Sharma. In the end, Suryakumar Yadav managed to say the right words and uttered the name of Arshdeep Singh, whom he kept struggling with. And with that, it was concluded that the two changes India has made to the starting XI are Harshit Rana, who comes in to replace Jasprit Bumrah, and Arshdeep Singh, who comes in to replace Varun Chakravarty.
The Oman captain came up next and announced that they too were making two changes. Mohammad Nadeem in place of Wasim Ali and Zikriya Islam in place of Hassnain Shah.
For either team, this match is a dead rubber, since India has already secured their qualification for the next stage of the tournament while Oman is already eliminated from the Super 4.
