NEW DELHI: Tickets for the high-voltage Asia Cup final between India and Pakistan at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday have been snapped up, with organisers confirming to Geo News that the 28,000-seat venue is officially "house full" for the marquee clash.

The arch-rivals have already drawn massive crowds in this tournament, with around 20,000 fans turning up for the group-stage meeting on September 14 and nearly 17,000 for the Super Four battle on September 21, as per Geo News.

Forty-one years after the inaugural Asia Cup in 1984, India and Pakistan will, for the first time, square off in the tournament's final. India enter the contest with the upper hand, having outplayed Pakistan in both of their meetings at the 2025 edition.

Pakistan, meanwhile, step into the showdown as underdogs, with just three wins from 15 T20I encounters against India. Their road to the final has been anything but smooth - Salman Agha's men were pushed to the brink by Bangladesh in the Super Fours before staging a spirited comeback to clinch an 11-run victory and book their place in Sunday’s summit clash.

Before the final, India had an injury scare with Abhishek Sharma and Hardik Pandya suffering from cramps during the final Super Fours contest against Sri Lanka. They spent the majority of the parts on the sidelines but have been declared fit before the rivalry clash.
