NEW DELHI: Harmanpreet Kaur once again stood tall on the big stage, creating multiple records with her stellar 89-run knock during the ICC Women's World Cup semifinal against Australia at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Thursday.
The Indian skipper stitched yet another crucial partnership in a World Cup knockout match. Her 167-run stand with Jemimah Rodrigues is now the highest-ever partnership for India Women in World Cup knockout history - across all wickets.
This was the sixth 150-plus stand in Women's WC knockouts. The previous five had come for Australia, including 155 between Phoebe Litchfield and Ellyse Perry earlier in the day.

The duo surpassed the previous best of 137 between Harmanpreet and Deepti Sharma against the same opposition in the 2017 semifinal at Derby, a match remembered for Harmanpreet's iconic 171-run knock.
The list also features other memorable stands from Indian greats, including a 95-run partnership between Harmanpreet and Punam Raut in the 2017 World Cup final against England at Lord's, a 66-run stand between Harmanpreet and Mithali Raj in the same 2017 Derby semifinal, and another 66-run partnership between Mithali Raj and Anjum Chopra in the 2005 semifinal against New Zealand at Potchefstroom.
Harmanpreet has been one of the most consistent performers in Women's World Cup knockout matches, registering three 50-plus scores in as many innings - a record matched only by Rachael Haynes and Nat Sciver-Brunt.
Only Australia's Belinda Clark, who notched up four such scores in six innings, stands above her.
Harmanpreet's tally of 311 runs in just three knockout innings is also the second-highest in World Cup history, behind Clark's 330 runs from six innings.
