NEW DELHI: India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur on Tuesday climbed two spots to reach 13th position in the latest ICC Women’s T20I rankings for batters, following her match-winning performance in the fifth and final game against Sri Lanka in Thiruvananthapuram.

India won the match by 15 runs, completing a clean sweep in the five-match series that concluded on December 30.

Harmanpreet scored 68 off 43 deliveries, earning the Player of the Match award and moving closer to the top 10 in the rankings.

Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma retained their third and sixth spots respectively, while Australia’s Beth Mooney continued to hold the top position.

On the other hand, Jemimah Rodrigues slipped out of the top 10 and is now placed 12th.

In bowling rankings, Deepti Sharma lost her No.1 spot as her figures of 1 for 28 in the fifth T20I were not enough to stop Australia’s Annabel Sutherland from reclaiming the top position.

Sutherland regained the No.1 ranking with 736 rating points, just one ahead of Deepti. She had first reached the top in August 2025 when Pakistan spinner Sadia Iqbal had similarly ceded the position to her.

The bowling table also saw Indian left-arm spinner Shree Charani rise five places to 47th.

For Sri Lanka, Kavisha Dilhari moved up one place to 32nd, and Chamari Athapaththu climbed three spots to 48th, reflecting their improved performances in the series.
