NEW DELHI: Even before the first ball was bowled in the Asia Cup Group A clash between India and Pakistan, Pakistan players were left stunned when, instead of their national anthem, the song Jalebi Baby was accidentally played.
For nearly six seconds, Tesher and Jason Derulo's hit track Jalebi Baby echoed through the stadium before the correct national anthem was restored.
"Shout out to the sound guy for messing up the anthem and making this an absolutely hilarious day for me. Accidents happen to the best of us, God bless u whoever you are," Tesher posted on his Instagram stories.

Talking about the match, Kuldeep Yadav's craft and Axar Patel's disciplined bowling left the Pakistani batters completely flummoxed as India dominated to register a commanding seven-wicket win in a one-sided Asia Cup clash.
Chasing 128, Abhishek Sharma tore through Pakistan's key bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi (0/23 in 2 overs), scoring a blistering 31 off just 13 balls, while Suryakumar Yadav celebrated his 35th birthday in style with 47 not out off 37, guiding India to a comfortable chase completed in 15.5 overs.
Suryakumar sealed the contest with a six, he turned towards the dugout and started walking without even glancing at the opposition players.
Pakistan skipper Salman Ali Agha queued up with his teammates for the customary handshake and even walked halfway towards the Indian dugout, but no players from the opposite side responded.
"We took a team call. We had come only to play. We had given them a reply. Some things are beyond sportsmanship. We dedicate this victory to our armed forces who took part in 'Operation Sindoor' and stand with families of the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack," said Suryakumar.
