NEW DELHI: Indian wicketkeeper-batter turned commentator Dinesh Karthik tickled the funny bone during the post-match presentation of The Hundred contest between Trent Rockets and Manchester Originals in Nottingham on Tuesday.
Karthik was at his hilarious best when he asked Trent Rockets coach Andy Flower why it was so difficult for him to smile despite his team's astonishing performance against Manchester - a cheeky query he also directed at India head coach Gautam Gambhir.
"All of UK has complained and tweeted about it and written to Sky Sports. Three people over the summer, they haven't found a way to get them to smile... Gautam Gambhir, Nasser Hussain and you. Why are people not able to see you smiling when you wear the coach's hat?" Karthik said while laughing.

"DK people misunderstand me completely, you know that surely," Flower responded.
Asked to bat first, the Originals crumbled under relentless pressure. Captain David Willey led the charge with a fiery spell of 3/11 in just 20 balls, knocking over Jos Buttler, Ben McKinney, and Rachin Ravindra to leave the top order in ruins.
There was no respite thereafter, as spinners George Linde and Rehan Ahmed maintained a stranglehold, conceding only 27 runs from their combined 40 deliveries.
In reply, the Rockets endured early setbacks with Joe Root and Tom Banton dismissed cheaply, but the chase never looked threatening. Rehan Ahmed, fresh from his bowling exploits, showcased his all-round brilliance with an unbeaten 45 off 35 balls. Alongside Tom Moores (22*), he steered the Rockets to a commanding victory with 26 balls still remaining.
