NEW DELHI: Jammu & Kashmir’s star pacer Auqib Nabi delivered a sensational all-round performance against Rajasthan in the Ranji Trophy 2025-26, single-handedly steering his team to a dominant innings victory at the Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium.

Batting and Bowling Dominance

Nabi made his initial impact with the ball, taking three crucial wickets in the first innings to help restrict Rajasthan to a total of just 152. His contribution with the bat was arguably even more vital: walking in at number eight with J&K under pressure, he constructed a fluent 55 runs off 65 balls.

This crucial, aggressive knock helped the hosts stretch their lead and firmly establish control over the match.

The Seven-Wicket Firepower

The second innings belonged entirely to the Baramulla-born quick. Bowling with intense purpose and sharp movement, Nabi dismantled the Rajasthan batting line-up with a scintillating spell of 7 wickets for just 24 runs. Rajasthan’s batters had no answer to his mastery of bounce and seam, leading to their capitulation for a mere 89.

By claiming his tenth wicket of the match, Nabi sealed an emphatic innings and 41-run victory for J&K, rightly earning the Player of the Match award.

This extraordinary display of skill and stamina cemented Nabi’s position as a force in domestic cricket. He currently sits atop the wicket-takers list for the domestic campaign with 17 scalps in just two matches. Often called the "Dale Steyn of Baramulla," Nabi remains focused on his biggest aspiration: "My dream is to play for India, nothing else," he recently stated. His consistent high-impact performances make a case for him to take the next step in his career.
