NEW DELHI: Team India pace-bowling all-rounder Harshit Rana has shared a funny incident from after India's 2025 Champions Trophy triumph. In a video that has gone viral on social media, Rana recounts a hilarious moment that highlights how Virat Kohli remains grounded and humble with his juniors.

Rana recalled that although he was part of the squad, he did not feature in the final. He added that upon entering the dressing room after the win, he met Anushka Sharma for the first time.

"I entered the dressing room, and Anushka Sharma was also there. I was meeting her for the first time. So I called her 'ma'am'," Rana said while speaking to MensXP.

However, Rana addressing Anushka as "ma'am" drew laughter from Kohli, who immediately stepped in and asked him why he had called her that. "Then he told me, 'tu ma'am kyu bol raha hai inko? Bhabhi bol inko'," Rana recalled, laughing at the memory.

"I told him that I am meeting her for the first time," he said. Kohli was not done yet. "Then he told her that I am like that, and just some time ago I poured champagne on him, and I am calling you ma'am now."

When asked whether Kohli is genuinely as humorous off camera as he often appears on screen, Rana responded without a moment's hesitation. "A lot, he likes jokes a lot," he said.

Chasing a daunting target of 338 against New Zealand in the third ODI, India slumped to 178 for 6 before Kohli and Rana revived hopes with a brisk 99-run partnership. However, the steadily rising asking rate eventually proved too much, and the hosts fell short by 41 runs.

Rana struck his maiden ODI half-century, scoring 52 off 43 balls, while Kohli registered his record-extending 54th ODI hundred.
