India has bounced back convincingly to level the five-match T20I series at 1-1, chasing down a competitive total in a brilliant all-round performance. The victory was set up by a disciplined bowling effort and powered by some sharp batting changes, which delighted the skipper, Suryakumar Yadav.

The captain couldn't hide his excitement after the win. Suryakumar Yadav started with a light-hearted sigh of relief at simply getting a break in luck, saying, "Yes, it felt like we’d lost 19 or 20 tosses in a row, so it was great to break that streak." He was quick to credit the team changes, noting that the players who came in had been putting in the hard work. "Washi (Washington Sundar) showed great flexibility, Jitesh contributed well, and Arshdeep was outstanding."
The real moment of insight, however, came when he spoke about his strike bowlers. He sees Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh not just as two good players, but as a perfectly matched, devastating unit.
He compared them to the team's potent opening batsmen, Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma, before dropping the key line: "They’re a fantastic pair... Bumrah does his job quietly, keeps it tight, and Arshdeep capitalises from the other end. Together, they’re a really lethal combination." This dynamic partnership, one locking down the run rate, the other hunting for wickets, is what the captain believes can win them the series.
With the contest now tied, the pressure shifts to the new venue for the next game. Suryakumar Yadav made his parting thought clear, and it was one of confidence: "It’s (series at 1-1) set up beautifully. We’re heading to a new venue, so it’ll be a fresh challenge, but the boys are confident and enjoying their cricket."
