NEW DELHI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited applications for positions on its Senior Men's, Women's, and Junior Men's Selection Committees, opening doors for former players to take up key roles in shaping Indian cricket's future.
For the Senior Men's Selection Committee, two positions are up for grabs. The selected members will be tasked with choosing Team India across formats - Tests, ODIs, T20Is, and any new formats introduced by the board. Applicants must have played a minimum of seven Test matches, or 30 First-Class matches, or at least 10 ODIs along with 20 First-Class games. Candidates should have retired at least five years ago and must not have served on any BCCI Cricket Committee for a cumulative period of five years.
The Women's Selection Committee has four vacancies. The role extends beyond team selection, with members expected to oversee squad choices across formats and age groups, vet coaching staff, prepare evaluation reports, and ensure strong bench strength. Eligibility is limited to former India women's team players who retired at least five years ago and have not been part of any BCCI Cricket Committee for five cumulative years.
For the Junior Men's Selection Committee, one position is open. The committee member will handle selections for age-group teams (up to Under-22), organise junior tournaments, appoint captains and support staff, and foster ethical values among young cricketers. Applicants must have played at least 25 First-Class matches, retired five years prior, and not held a BCCI Cricket Committee post for five cumulative years.
The BCCI has set 5:00 PM IST on September 10, 2025, as the deadline for applications. Following the screening and shortlisting process, candidates may be called for personal interviews. All positions demand strict adherence to the board's rules, regulations, and the highest standards of integrity.
