NEW DELHI: Australia scripted history by achieving a rare batting milestone in the ongoing Ashes Test against England at the Gabba in Brisbane. For the first time ever, all 11 Australian batters reached double figures in a single Ashes innings.

Before this, the feat had happened only twice: by England in Melbourne in 1894 and again in Sydney in 1928. Now, almost a century later, Australia have joined that exclusive list.

This is also the first time any team has managed this achievement in a day-night Test, making it even more special. Every Australian batter contributed at least 10 runs, showing the depth and balance of their lineup in the pink-ball Test at the Gabba.

Australia produced a magnificent batting effort to pile up 511 in the first innings and take a commanding 177-run lead, with Mitchell Starc top-scoring with 77 and complementing it with a six-wicket haul that helped the hosts dismiss England for 334.
