NEW DELHI: Whether their team wins or loses, stooping to a new low seems to be a never-ending process for Pakistan cricket fans. A new video doing the rounds on social media shows that some are willing to go to any extent to mock Indian players.

India's Vaibhav Suryavanshi was at the centre of the booing from Pakistan fans, but the 14-year-old batting prodigy set a perfect example of composure, paying no heed to the noise around him.

The clip emerged soon after Pakistan sealed a dominant victory over India in the U-19 Asia Cup final and spread rapidly across social media. It shows a section of Pakistan supporters jeering Vaibhav Suryavanshi as he walked past them outside the stadium.

India blown away by Minhas' century

Powered by Sameer Minhas' blistering 172 off 113 balls (17 fours, 9 sixes), Pakistan posted a mammoth 347 for eight.

Their bowlers then backed up the batting effort with equally impressive performances, as the pace trio of Ali Reza (4/42), Mohammad Sayyam (2/38) and Abdul Subhan (2/29) consistently hit hard lengths to rattle India's top order. India eventually folded for 156 in 26.2 overs.

Suryavanshi failed to get going after rollicking start

India's chase began on an explosive note despite losing Ayush Mhatre early. Vaibhav Suryavanshi hammered Raza for two sixes and a four to take 21 runs in the first over.

Aaron George also got off to a lively start, stroking Sayyam for three consecutive fours in the fourth over as India surged out of the blocks at a run rate of 10 an over.

However, the momentum swung on the final ball of that over. George was rushed into an attempted pull by Sayyam and could only top-edge the short delivery to Mohammad Shayan inside the circle.

India were dealt another crushing blow on the very first ball of the fifth over when Suryavanshi was dismissed, a setback that effectively extinguished any hopes of a comeback.
