Recently, a clip of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma has been doing the rounds on Social Media where the two Indian batters can be seen batting in the nets at Perth together. Both top-order batters look in crisp form and will be looking to make a mark against the fiery Australian side on Sunday. They were among the 5 Indian players who batted in the nets on Thursday; the other three included were KL Rahul and the fast-bowling duo of Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh, who trained at the nets in Team India's first training session at the Optus Stadium in Perth.

The Ro-Ko duo also did fielding practice with coach T Dilip, in which Virat Kohli was observed to be moving quite crisply and with high intensity. Rohit Sharma did some stretching to prepare his body for a gruelling 3-match series and also had a light chat with head coach Gautam Gambhir, who, along with Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, and Mohammad Siraj, departed India on Wednesday evening from Delhi and landed in Perth on Thursday.

The ODI series has created a lot of buzz thanks to the two batting greats coming back to don the Indian jersey. And especially after the handing over of reins to Shubman Gill as the new captain of the ODI team, fans are excited to see the King Kohli and Hitman duo back in action.

Their participation in the 2027 World Cup is also not a given, with a lot depending on their form and fitness at the time. However, new captain Shubman Gill has backed the two superstars given their wealth of experience. Post the net session, Virat Kohli was seen having a chat with bowling coach Morne Morkel, which was followed by a light moment with pacer Arshdeep Singh.

The team also has a training session lined up on Friday and Saturday.
