Soon after the Suryakumar Yadav-led Indian team won their second encounter against Pakistan in the 2025 Asia Cup in Dubai 2 weeks ago, a journalist got roasted by the Indian skipper when asked a question about the India vs Pakistan cricketing rivalry. SKY argued that the way India has dominated this fixture the past few decades, it's no longer a rivalry. Now, ahead of the India vs Pakistan ICC Women's ODI World Cup Game, Suryakumar Yadav has openly mocked Pakistan again.

In the Men's game, India have faced Pakistan 16 times in T20Is, with the reigning T20 World and Asia Cup champions having won 13 times. On September 22, SKY had boldly made fun of people hyping this clash as a "rivalry". Suryakumar Yadav, when asked about the difference in the standards between the two rivals having grown too wide, has stated, "Sir, my request is that we should now stop calling India vs Pakistan matches a rivalry."
The Journalist clarified he was asking about the standards not the rivalry, to which SKY replied, "Sir, rivalry and standard are all the same. Now what is a rivalry? If two teams have played 15 matches and it's 8-7, that's a rivalry. Here it's 13-1 (12-3) or something. There is no contest," with a grin on his face.

Fast forward a fortnight, and Suryakumar Yadav was in the midst of it all once again. If you thought it was bad for Pakistan in the Men's game, it's even worse in the Women's game. Going into the World Cup clash, India(W) have never lost against the Pakistan(W) team with the Head-To-Head in ODIs currently standing at 11-0. Talking via JioHotstar ahead of the much-awaited clash in the women's World Cup, Suryakumar Yadav stated, “I’ll again say rivalry is when the competition is neck to neck. 11-0 is not a rivalry. If our women's team focuses on playing good cricket, it will be 12-0."

India remain heavy favourites to chalk up their second win of the tournament and give Pakistan their 2nd loss in the World Cup. It seems very likely that the 12-0 prediction by Suryakumar Yadav comes true.
