Outcome is the same - India wins!Congrats to our cricketers. — Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) September 28, 2025 Pakistan had created a false narrative claiming victory in the military conflict following the Pahalgam terror attack in April, which tragically claimed the lives of 26 innocent Indian tourists. PM Modi's tweet not only celebrated India's Asia Cup triumph but also sent a strong message debunking Pakistan's claims: whether on the cricket field or through Operation Sindoor, the outcome remains the same - India prevails. After bowling out Pakistan for a modest 146, India chased down the target of 147 with just two balls to spare. Varma starred with an unbeaten 69 off 53 balls, while Shivam Dube played a quickfire 33 off 22 deliveries, combining with Varma for a crucial 60-run fifth-wicket partnership. Earlier, Kuldeep Yadav stole the spotlight with brilliant figures of 4/30 in four overs, supported by fellow spinners Varun Chakravarthy (2/30), Axar Patel (2/26), and Jasprit Bumrah (2/25) after India chose to bowl first. Sent in, Pakistan were well-served by the opening duo of Sahibzada Farhan (57 off 38 balls) and Fakhar Zaman (46 off 35 balls), who stitched together 84 runs in under 10 overs to lay the foundation for a big total. However, the Indian spin trio of Varun, Kuldeep and Axar suddenly picked up a few wickets to quickly tighten the screws on Pakistan, who lost their last nine wickets for just 33 runs. This was India's third victory over Pakistan in this edition of the continental event after winning in the league and Super 4s stages.
