Pakistan, West Indies, Bangladesh and Afghanistan announces squads for T20 World Cup

Pakistan, West Indies, Bangladesh and Afghanistan have announced their squads for the T20 World Cup. The T20 World Cup will begin on 16 October, the super 12 stage will start on 22 October and the final will be played on November 13.

Pakistan, West Indies, Bangladesh and Afghanistan have announced their squads for the T20 World Cup. The T20 World Cup will begin on 16 October, the super 12 stage will start on 22 October and the final will be played on November 13.

Pakistan Squad:-

Shaheen Shah Afridi is included in the World Cup squad, he missed the Asia Cup due to a knee injury and undergoing through rehabilitation. He is expected to be fit in time for the World Cup. Fakhar Zaman who sustained a knee injury during Asia Cup missed out from the squad, Shan Masood replaced him in the squad. Shahnawaz Dahani and Hasan Ali who played in the Asia Cup also missed out on the 15-member World Cup squad.

Babar Azam (c), Shadab Khan (VC), Asif Ali, Haider Ali, Haris Rauf, Iftikhar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Wasim, Naseem Shah, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shan Masood, Usman Qadir

Reserves: Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Haris, Shahnawaz Dahani

West Indies Squad:-

Sunil Narine and Andre Russell have been left out of the 15-member T20 World Cup squad. While Evin Lewis and Johnson Charles recalled for the T20 World Cup. Lewis last played for West Indies at last year's T20 World Cup and Johnson Charles last played for West Indies in 2016. Charles is the second-highest run-getter in the CPL 2022. Romario Shepherd also misses out from the squad and Dominic Drake was unavailable due to a knee injury.

West Indies will face Australia for the two-match T20I series before the start of the T20 World Cup.

Bangladesh squad:-

Former Bangladesh captain Mahmudullah has been dropped from the Bangladesh T20 World Cup squad and Mushfiqur Rahim has retired from the T20I format after the Asia Cup. Litton Das, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Nurul Hasan, Yasir Ali and Hasan Mahmud have been recalled for the T20 World Cup. Das, who missed the Asia Cup due to a hamstring injury, has fully recovered now.

Shakib Al Hasan (captain), Sabbir Rahman, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Afif Hossain, Mossadek Hossain, Litton Das, Yasir Ali, Nurul Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman, Saifuddin, Taskin Ahmed, Ebadot Hossain, Hasan Mahmud, Najmul Hossain, Nasum Ahmed.

Reserves: Soumya Sarkar, Shoriful Islam, Rishad Hossain, Shak Mahedi Hasan. 

Afghanistan Squad:-

Mohammad Nabi will lead the team in the T20 World Cup. Samiullah Shinwari, Afsar Zazai, Karim Janat, Noor Ahmad missed out on the World Cup squad. Qais Ahmad, Darwish Rasooli, Salim Safi have been included in the squad.
